Nice to meet you John, tried to catch you later on, but couldn't find you, RS3 looking very tidy indeed!
RESPECT! Another day/meet will come...

Hmmm... FIA have banned radio communication relating to the performance of the driver and car with immediate effect!
Wave good bye to a quicker Rosberg now, Hamilton is going to destroy him with pure speed!
OK, moving on: those 2-Mercedes boys have had a 75 to 100bhp advantage over ALL others during 2014; even other Mercedes engine supplied users have not enjoyed this advantage due to the lack of configuration data passed forward in 2013, fact! We now need the 'freeze' on engine/configuration modification lifted for all, Mercedes included, and this may happen in 2015, maybe...
There are some who may believe the 2-Mercedes boys are achieving all by driving skill alone, but that just ain't so: I could argue all day on the relative speeds of the 2-Mercedes drivers at Monza through practice, qualifying, and race (NOT a lot); but it's that engine installation/configuration package that's allowing the 2-Mercedes drivers to 'stay' in front of other similarly skilled drivers...
75 to 100bhp advantage on that engine installation/configuration package...
Really! I wonder who proposed the freezing of the engine installation/configuration package for 2014, and maybe beyond, although even Toto is now intimating that he would agree to lift the freeze.
An F1 race is about so much more than a 200-mile race on Sunday...

I think the Mercs have a better aero package than other Mercedes powered teams, the Williams is the quicker machine in a straight line! We know the Redbulls have the aero aswell, they can keep up with the Mercs through the twisty bits!
IMHO it's interesting to see how well Ricciardo and Alonso are dominating their team mates. Alonso has been a known good driver for a while and has always done well extracting the best from an underperforming car and this has been put into stark contrast this year vs. Kimi. Likewise Ricciardo seems to be managing the same feat in the Red Bull and, IMHO, is putting Vettel in the shade.
We could sit and discuss that one jojo as I for one would dispute that; Monza was a power circuit and is why the 2 x Mercedes were clear of the followers. Singapore is NOT a power circuit per se and should therefore provide more of a challenge for the Mercedes duo; Bottas and Ricciardo should be able to apply pressure...
I think this no communication thing is going to be hard to police fully. As there are many times the pits may want to convey information to the driver to help with safety. If the pits tell a driver there has been a large crash on the course in front of him, will the driver be penalised if he chooses to come in the pits because there is liable to be a safety car some may argue that will improve his performance.
Should the pits tell a driver the vibration he has on his car is excessive and he should pit for tyres as his suspension is liable to fail.
Or do you just let him continue till he crashes.
Here is a new prototype exhaust system designed by the FIA to try and make the cars louder so the drivers will be unable to hear the radio.

Without the Constructor's world Championship the need for a driver would be Zilch; will someone please tell Lewis...
?? There isn't a no coms policy being introduced. You are still allowed to advise drives regarding safety issues. You are not allowed to tell a driver where they are losing time on corners, which line to enter a corner or what gear to take, or where the braking point is. But as for 'there is a wreck in front of you just around the corner; be careful' then of course they are allowed to give that information
I'm all for this:

Lol @jojo, although it's (potentially!) good for Hamilton it's a shame for Rosberg, and I reckon Hamilton would have taken more pleasure from a fair fight...
Your a mind reader thats what he has just said.Ummmm NO. I think he'd be happy to take maximum points as Nico gets nada! But he will still tell the press it's a shame Nico isn't up there, and they didn't manage a Merc one two! Lewis is da BOSS!

I don't think it's equal as Lewis has proved barring car issues he is the quickest driver. This gives him the psychological edge and the fact that he has come from behind to now lead will put more of the pressure on Rosberg which I think will mean he is more likely to make a mistake.
Rosberg showed at Monza that he will crack under pressure as he out braked himself and let Hamilton through.
