Styling Do's and Dont's

Inspired by another thread; I'm interested in hearing people's do's and dont's when it comes to styling.

From what I've seen so far:

Badging your car as something better than it is = DON'T
Wheels in the style of another car manufacturer = Sometimes DO, sometimes DON'T
Rep alloys = DON'T
Bodykit/trim conversions = DO and DON'T
Personalised plates = DO and DON'T
The Ring sticker = DON'T
Ebay roof spoiler = DON'T

Badging your car as something better than it is = DON'T

Im not so anti-badging your car. I havnt done it myself but i can see why some people do. The styling of and S3 is much nicer than an A3 2.0TDI. However not everyone can afford an S3. Not everyone can afford to run and S3.
Some people like to have the S3 looks (bumper/side skirts/S3 badge) with the price and fuel efficiency of a TDI. I dont see the problem with that as long as it is done tastefully.

Red Calipers = Dont (I tried and hated them, so silver now lol)

Isn't that a factor in pretty much all styling mods???

Or do you mean SOLELY doing it to impress others??

Just do what you think is right and if your happy then go for it! Akash blacklash thinks I shoudn't have RS4 buckets in mine because its a 2.0TDI, do you think I really give a rats *** what he thinks? I'm goin purple wheels and purple leather, lots wont like, lots will. All that matters is that you are 100% happy with your car and what your doing, if your not, then thats poop.
