I just rang my dealer to book it in for a service, first question they asked was the registration. I gave them my private plate so no luck and asked if i could remember the original reg. luckily I had it to hand and when I gave it them they said
"Hello Mr Booth, our system is saying you are due your free service"
I was quite shocked, firstly at the FREE bit and secondly, the fact i'm not Mr Booth!
Luckily i had all my docs in a folder so pulled out the reg certificate and the previous owner was indeed Mr Booth! Turns out that when he bought it, it actually came from my local dealer in the first place and as an approved used car, it came with 2 free services!
So its booked in gratis and all i have to do is pay cash and pretend to be Mr Booth!
best news i've had all day!
