Added, thanks, Pls advise Colour and Saloon or Sportsback.

Updated Ta. Kaylami Green is spectacular colour, I am not that brave so went for safe colour.

My estimated build date is now week 30.

Much better as if it stays then I should get the car in August.

Of course it could move forward or backwards still. However August delivery would be 1 year from order to delivery.
Yep mine is now week 29 but the dealer is confident it will be sooner.

My Vorsprung sport back is week 29 now

I'm always curious about how things like this happen. Surely the ship has some sort of depth monitoring hardware to avoid these exact situations? And I'm sure it's not the first time it's been through that stretch of water? It seems the tide gets exceptionally low there, but that's a known occurrence so again, it's something that should be avoided. Don't quite get it, but good luck to everyone waiting on cars!

There is a well marked deep water channel that keeps shipping away from that particular hazard which is 'unhelpfully' situated in the middle of the Solent.

Link to the full report below, but from memory the ship hadn't been loaded correctly, become almost impossible to control and ended up on the sandbank by chance.

Edit - a few years before then car transporter MV Baltic Ace collided with another ship and sank in the middle of the North Sea, the resultant salvage operation provided something to look at on what was often a dull trip across the North Sea for a year or so afterwards.

Did not get this letter yet, for my order from Aug Last year.

What makes you think a BMW will come any sooner than an Audi, unless you are going second hand of course

Odd how they keep saying the 'Global auto industry is affected' and yet you can order a new Tesla with around a 2 month wait from order to receiving your new car

But Mike you must remember they are inferior to Audi and have zero interiors

Well it has finally been confirmed that my car is in country and due to arrive at the dealership later this week. I will 100% pick up in the 1st March. Also that completely random guess that I took on which car ferry it was on turned out to be right, what I didn't know is that it could've been 1 of 4 ships lol. Time to update my signature

It will be 2nd hand buddy, But nearly new with nominal mileage.......
At least BMW were smart enough to build a reasonable amount of cars in varying specs/options.
As i said, I'll wait until April, No longer.

Just received the "in-transit" mail from Audi. Hopefully there's a delay in their process which sends them out and it was on the ship with jimbo255's

how do you get emails ? I've always had call from my dealer ? hopefully ours will be on the same ship collecting dust together

5 Vorsprungs are in Transit. Could @Mike.46 and another member may be @Dean87 advise on Colour and Saloon/Sportsback please, if its not being too intrusive.
Was advised by Audi UK, cars are being built on variant type batches. Hence the request to make some sense as its not by how early the car was ordered, more likely, what the batch requirements for the build.

do you know how to track the order I have no idea, when I originally required, I was told Vorsprungs would be the first ones out as they are the "high end " models

There was an Audi tracker online, we could register and input our tracking number, which was shutdown last year for the public. Tracker system is only available to VAG dealers only. However, my guess is its being managed manually by Audi, due to reduced factory output and chip and other parts availability. Hence seems random when cars are being built, almost at a spreadsheet level.
You can get the order number from your Dealer, but at this point not much use other than information only,

pointless then, seeing as its in transit, never ordered a new car before they always been in stock, how long do you reckon it will take them to reach the uk I was assuming 10 days ? tempted to take delivery straight way
