RS3 8Y General Discussion Thread.

I was more wondering how he managed to get that when there’s still people with orders placed months before him that will barely have their car this year and he’s already managed.

Audi seriously taking the **** out of customers.

What spec?

I’m in Croatia so it’s not the same situation as with you in UK, but still can’t believe the wait time.
Over here we can choose optional equipment as we wish. Car is black with extended black trim, gloss wheels with weird graphics, pano roof, electric seats (memory and massage), RS design pack, sport exhaust… almost everything besides ceramics and speed limit increase. I also did not opt for the best version of lane assist so I get the nice steering wheel.
Contract stated when ordered car will be delivered in 180 days. And that’s double than for any car before ordered through them.

Long story lol

Order was initally placed for the 8v with Manchester Audi back in Nov 2020. Gave them 25% upfront aswell. But books closed and they apparently could not put it through even though they took the order from me, so told them to hold cash till books opened for 8y. I was promised to be one of the first to have one in the UK as I was the first person to technically pay upfront for one.

They took pish with me and wasted a lot of time and never submitted my order for the 8y. Sent them a picture of an Ara Blue RS3 and they said it was not an Audi colour and that it was wrap ‍♂️

Delayed putting the order through in Aug 21. Order was then sent across to factory but they declined the colour ( Lambo Blu Nethuns) even though they advised they can do the colour as withing the VAG Group.

Kicked of with them and Audi UK to get it sorted. They advised me to cancel and move over to Bradford as they were closer to me. Audi UK put me through with Bradford Audi, within 2 weeks order was submitted with them.

Maybe a cancellation in Bradford that got me in quicker or the fact they all took the pish with me and had my money for so long.

Had £2k moved over from my inital payment to Manchester to secure a deposit with Bradford and the rest to be sent back to me.
But I still haven't got it

Everytime I call I get the usual sorry don't know why it's not gone through properly, will resubmit it now and will take 2 weeks. ( been over a year now).

So not very lucky at all haha, annoyed would be the better word.

Consider there’s a huge difference between ordering a Sportback or a Sedan version: last January my official dealer showed me an Audi notice where the Sportback delivery from order was 360 days while Sedan was 180. Now things are getting worse but still if you order a Sedan should arrive within the end of this year.

Maybe it’s now changed but I have been waiting this long and still only got in confirmed build week 19

@HulkRS3 I don't want to open a dedicated topic, just want a quick answer if you can help.
I found these on Ali with numerous more but all of them besides these lack trustworthy reviews. Are these the same one as yours or?
Thank you.

Yea that’s them but as I say they are not a direct fit as the 8Y trim has been modified so be prepared to get handy with a drill if you want them.

Guys I have a set of Motec Ultralight wheels from my Cupra. I was thinking of leaving them as winter set for RS3 because of the squared setup for winter.
Do you think they fit on the car? Specs are 19x8.5 et42 and was thinking to run spacers 15mm front 12mm back...
I still did not receive my car but I have few offers for the wheels so not sure should I leave them or sell them.

Offsets wrong for the front unfortunately.

I’m aware of that. My thinking was to put spacers to clear the calipers just enough. With additional 15mm in the front that would bring down et from 43 to 28 if I’m correct. Maybe my logic is completely wrong

Put it in the other thread but incase anyone missed it

Vorsprung owners can put their rear USB-Cs back just like how they should have been for 120 Euros from Kufatec;

Very expensive just for 2 usb slots that will barely get used lol

someone pointed out in a thread which I can’t find again that to stop Apple car play automatically jumping from the radio they unlinked the myAudi app. If anyone else gets annoyed by this Iv turned the MMI WiFi off (in app) and it also seems to sort it

Yeah that was me……

The App seems to cause the radio to not come on, logging out of the App sorts it.

Where is this option about in the app? I can’t find it

Anyone gonna fess up :tearsofjoy:

They’re surprisingly quick, but would run out of puff way before the RS3 I’d imagine.

He also must’ve spent a bunch on it with full hybrid turbo setup and all the supporting mods. A good showing though, either way.

maybe?

Matt Watson has it on his latest carwow vid and says it's been lent to them by a carwow viewer?

Right at the start you catch a glimpse of the number plate on a close up shot and it starts with a D, doubt there are many exclusive green ones going about with the same starting reg.

If that's what the 240i can do then the M2 is going to be a problem for the class.
