No RS3 orders being taken

It's not that worrying mate, it's just some people who have the car, chatting on a forum with those who want the car who are also chatting with those who envy those who have the car
If Audi don't release a sportback FL RS3 in the U.K. if & when they do release a 'sedan' circa 2018 then they really are missing a trick & focussing more on the foreign markets who like the micro saloons.
The trouble is the RS models are not constantly in supply, as we are experiencing.
If in 2018 there is no RS3 or it's just the limo, then I would consider a TTRS but who's to say that will still be available then ?
Just relieved I got my sportback when I did .. & may be hanging on to it for a few years the way things are going .... but that ain't a bad prospect tbh

Well I'm just glad I'm in the queue. More time to save for next year plus I secured a 3% discount (in writing too).

@Snake Pliskin this was mentioned by the head of Audi Sport development in a clip a few pages back. That they are looking more globally rather than single markets. He also said that the RS3 Saloon was the way forward for the brand. That speaks volumes.

Definitely no world exclusive from me. In isolation, I'm not even giving the info much credence. In my experience, dealers will tell you whatever they need to, to get a sale.
But this thread seems the perfect place to collate such tidbits in case those in 'no man's land' find it of interest.

I'm out of my RS3 sold it 1 week ago,,, going to get saloon next, I just found it started looking dated after seeing new S3 and even Sline on road....looking forward to the wait again....
You know what, I think it looks dated too.

One of those fast ones. Proper drivers RS.
I think you've made the right decision - straight line speed and huge noise is fun for only a short while, soon becomes numb, although great for pub boasting and manliness.
The proper drivers RS goes round a corner like no Audi I've driven.
You were right all along mate. I need this Renault in my life.
Things have changed... my beauty of an RS3 leaves me numb and for some reason, I want to spend my days going round corners as fast as I can.
Honestly, I feel like I'm 17 again.
Me and you are on a winner here Craig.
Not just about going round the corner quickly, it's being in full control of the way you are pointing the car, with great steering, perfect damping, absolute feedback and a seating position that keeps you enthralled.
Took you a while to get there, but I'm happy you've found driving nirvana.
You know what, maybe I just can't let go of the RS3 after all. The Renault is hardly nirvana, and that's why I'm back here, seeing what people are writing... and daydreaming of bigger things like an RS3. The Renault is ok, but it's not all that. Bit plastic fantastic, and a bit boy racer for me. Sure, it's a nice(ish) car but it just isn't the satisfying package that I had with the RS3. Sorry Craig, but I think the dream is over...

The typical RS3 owner probably doesn't crave the things the Megane excels at anyway, so you probably wouldn't appreciate its merits. Possibly for the best, as I don't think it's manly enough for you either.
If your car daydreams end at the RS3, I'm happy you've found your ultimate car.
Back on topic the newly announced RS3 saloon sounds (on paper) like it's attempting to shift the RS3 more in the direction of being a drivers car, what with the attempts to reduce understeer tendency and make improvements to the Haldex, will be an interesting test drive.

This RS3 sub forum especially any thread to do with a face lift or discount or...Orders...etc etc or really anything to do with progress of the cars turns volatile and more so,so very uninteresting...we all should try harder and Let it Be....before no new members want to get involved at all.....
I wouldn't say it's my ultimate car, but stick it next to a Renault Megane and I'm pretty much 3000% sold on the Audi. I'm sure I would appreciate its merits, it's just not for me... and if I was going to downgrade I would look at the Focus RS, which is a big step up from the Megane.
