No RS3 orders being taken

Teasing us with the RS models, to announce the FL but state that orders don't open for another 12 months is ridiculous.
Ah, I didn't realise that had been officially stated. I thought that was just forum guesswork.

Me too, I am so gutted!!

I'm still battling away, trying to find another loan :(
Was thinking about this... what about the Golf R?
The deals are really good at the moment...
No 5 pot but it's a beauty of a car. I would have one over the S3 given it's reputation, value for money etc.
Not to be sniffed at you know...

At least ;) it's not really a FL either as current car is a hatch and future one saloon only by the looks of it. I'm calling it 8V v2 ;)

Your 3k down you get spec up m140 for about 350 a month he can get m performance exhaust on too good noise
I'd rather lease at the moment. CVL are doing them for £2000 down and £180 per month. That's a great deal and they are reasonably specced as standard.

That will be bog standard manual tho?
At the pricea saying it's sports auto pro nav. Most of the nice bits too bog standard manual isn't much more than the lease and should have something at the end of it due to the huge discounts

Must admit, as much as I love the m4 I have had thoughts about doing this and saving some pennies! The m140 is quicker than the m2 in a straight line!

That's my concern, will feel a bit of let down after the last few cars I've had

They do the auto for £10pm more. I'm not wedded to leasing by any means, but right now it's the way to do it. BMW even calculates some residual value into their options on leasing, unlike the VAG group and others.

I see the new RS3 Saloon is now on the Audi UK website. Price tbc.

Guess we won't have to wait till 2018

Been on there since they announced it bud and said expect late 2017 for product introduction

When you select new rs3 saloon on Audi website it's whatbit says on the rs3 page. Was in the press release first but just looked and it's on the website. So deliveries in 2018 prob likely

SO after a day of moping around I have decided upon a plan of action. I have considered going and getting a new S3 to pass time, or an A4 but I will only lose money. I am happy being in my car now, just want an RS.

My deposits and orders are officially cancelled, on both FL and the approved car.

I am going to sit tight, save like hell as I have been and instead of spending £700 pcm on an RS, I will put it into my ISA and let my negative equity settle, maybe in a few months time when I have a couple more thousand in the bank I will see what is available then (has to be one or two, even with big compromises) and get one putting down a decent deposit with payments aimed under £550 pcm. I got told by the business manager today that VWFS see me as high risk, with them giving me access to an RS branded car being 19. Not that I would do anything to put it at risk, I'd love to personally show them the condition my car is in now having done 20,000 miles since the start of the agreement, it is in far better condition than when I collected it believe it or not. I think I bought the dog of all approved cars, again in a rush to buy on a tight budget.

Worst case scenario while I am saving and waiting I get a call from Audi to say the saloon is open for ordering and I will order a saloon if need be, but right now my primary goal is the hatch. I have taken on some words of wisdom and instead of rushing, I will take my time and make sure that I am 100% ready when I make the move. It's no use trying to scrabble for money to make it happen now.

I am also going to advertise my Sportback on the classifieds, to see if I can gather the interest of someone who isn't in too much of a hurry. If I can sell my car for the price it is worth on a forecourt, rather than the PX price then the negative equity will disappear and the deposit I have to hand now will be adequate to get in an RS. The business manager told me most of my deposit is being swallowed up by my negative equity.

I have sent an email to the business manager giving him a bit of a telling off. They haven't tried to help me at all, now I have sat down and looked at it. I got accepted for Black Horse finance, today he wanted a £4200 deposit and £720 pcm for the finance which I were thinking about. Till I got the follow-up email stating that he wanted £3000 in addition to my £4200 deposit to clear my current car. Having a laugh, £7k deposit and £720 pcm :wtf::puke2: Worst thing is, I would of paid the £4200 deposit for the finance and he wanted £3000 to take mine off me, £1000 more than it would cost him to settle my finance. So in effect he was going o get a £46k sale out of me not £45k, plus the £2000 he would of had in my car when selling it.

Had they put in some effort and used the movement they have in the screen price to offset my negative equity, I think I would of been driving one today. Instead he made a 0% discount on the RS, would of taken my £3k deposit for VWFS and only put £1000 down on the RS with the other to settle the A3, no wonder VWFS ran a mile.

The book price of that car is £38500, sitting down now I feel quite silly normally being the sensible one advising my Dad.. all the excitement got to me. But, I understand how these dealers might be getting cheeky with their prices knowing there are so little left in the UK.

Seriously consider the Golf R as a stop gap. Cheap motoring (£250pm) and way better than what you're in now.

£3000 deposit and £700pm is just obscene money for a secondhand car that you're not absolutely 100% sure on.

I have looked at a few various cars to have for the next 12 months, but I have asked why would I. It's not as if I am not driving around in a nice car now, it will only cost me to change cars. I would have to put down the £3000 I have on changing the car, then more than likely being in negative equity in 12 months time for a new car.

I am paying £338 a month on my A3 now, which was £20k from Audi with a £1500 deposit.

You can be in a Golf R DSG with zero deposit and £300pm... Go have a test drive, there's no harm to try one. It'll be a quantum leap up from your A3.

Where do you see that offer to? I have just made a quick calculation online and with a £3k deposit they want £415 a month.

Goodness, you're absolutely right. That's amazing. That gives Mercedes a *huge* window of opportunity to get their new A45 out the door and make this RS3 look outdated by the time anyone's able to put an order in.

It might be sore at the moment, but when you come out the other side of the pain of this you'll probably be relieved you didn't buy a used car at £45k on a finance deal at 10%.

Bide your time, save your money and wait for the right deal for you, not the right deal for Audi.

Yeah man, I'm with D0C on this one... that Golf R is a mighty machine and the deals are phenomenal.

What's we want any car or that offering nutta worth a punt?

I've had a look, around £13k :( They are selling for £16k+ online, which is above my settlement.

I will have a look into leasing deals after work. I have to decide whether I am 100% waiting for a FL or whether I am likely to see a car in a few months and act then.

Well I've visited the dealer and put a holding deposit down for the new RS3. This puts me at the front of the queue for when the car is available to order. They are quite sure the SB will be available at the same time as the saloon but I'm set on the saloon.

And then there's the dealers saying SB will be in showrooms Q2 2017 (before saloon).

I took my car into Audi for some work done a few days back... was told the opposite, no SB announced but saloon will be available some time in 2017 (they didn't know when).

My own opinion the whole A3 range including the new facelift car are beginning to look staid, the facelift was in showrooms in July, now Audi have announced a car that has basically no new parts to it, it's a existing bodyshell with a engine already in production in 12 months time, moronic stupid... Amateurish Etc 12 months is a long time in automotive design, the engine is new but the saloon aint.... Maybe it'll get a revamp before its released lol

Have you seen them testing? Add about 12 months to the date you see them and you may be right.

People on here are far too optimistic. If you look at posts from early 2016 some people were saying the facelift was coming 1Q16. Even I said early 2017 and was a year out :tonguewink:
