I'm lucky i didn't get one when driving my s4 home from the dealer, going from London to Plymouth. Wasn't taking any notice of my speed and was up hitting 120, didn't even realise! (was very late so quiet roads) swiftly put the anchors on and paid more attention after that. it was scary how easily this car gains speed compared to my old 1.8t

I've taken to using cruise control more often as silly speeds don't take long to get to & it is effortless for the S4

I got my first ticket two years ago, in my S3 a week before I was due to pick up the S4. This was the first ticket in about 7 years of owning hot hatches (luck more than judgement) and whats even more annoying is I had made the concious decision that trip to be a good boy and stick to 60 on the dual carriageway. Unfortunately I stuck the cruise control onto 60 and happily cruised through a reduced speed section of 50 mph. D'Oh! I think I'm more alert when going faster....

Surely not in the UK - they'd have had your licence and probably some of your delicate body parts too !?!

I did a course instead of points many years back. IIRC it was only offered to drivers caught doing no more than about 10-15% over the limit. At least that was the case in my area (Thames Valley Police).

41 in a 30, lucky Bgr! 1 month after buying my SQ I got my first ever speeding ticket in over 30 yrs. Laser van pinged me at 80 in a line of traffic in a 70. As well as it being a pathetic speed to book folk on the dual carriageway there is no speed awareness course option in Scotland.
I'm all for keeping to the limit in the BUA but this is pure taxation, road safety has nothing to do with those underhand kind of checks IMO.

Not in the UK you only go to court for DUI, red lights and drifting

Lol, it actually happened to me, car gets impounded and you get fined! But I was lucky to get off with a 100€ bribe

Never got a ticket in my RS4, had a 2.0 diesel CLA hire car and got caught doing 61 in a 40 on one of those variable speed limits on the M25 - completely clear. What's all that about!
