Why do I need to sync my keyfob so often?

Hi all,

Does anyone know why this is? Basically I need to sync my keyfob, by pressing lock and unlock while ignition is on, once every few days, otherwise it would stop working. The battery is only a month or two old. This is really puzzling! Any ideas please?

broken wire / wires in door loom where it hinges !!!
guy on here came to me last week with same issue,.
pull back the rubber to expose the loom between the car a pillar and the drivers door, id say that there will be a breakdown or split , etc on one or more of the wires.

Had a quick look yesterday while the driver side door card was off, but couldn't see any split in the wires. Will have a proper good look and test with a multimeter in the weekend.

I don't understand though - why would a split wire in the door has something to do with the problem?

What about the keyfob, when I upgraded mine from B6 to B7 I didnt screw the 2 parts together enough and the battery must of kept coming away from the terminals and I had to keep synching it.

Good point! Mine is a bit battered.
Will try to use a rubber band and see if it improves.
