Extra sucking noise / boosting later in the rev range?

Hey guys.

Slight problem with my 2001 S3.

I noticed today that mainly in 5th / 6th gear my car has started to make an extra noticeable sucking noise as it's coming on boost. It seemed kind of intermittent initially but I think it's pretty much there now in 5th / 6th.

There does seem to be a slight loss in power as well and it seems to be coming on full boost a bit later in the rev range.

I've not had the car long, so I don't know if's had the diverter valve changed or not. It's had an APR remap last year.

Any ideas?

Anyone? Seems to be happening in the lower gears now too.

Do the boost pipes really split though? Haven't heard of too many cars splitting pipes.

Could it really be the DV? Would that cause loss of boost / nor boosting as quick?
