Very nice Ibis.
Yeah, I wish the mirrors would fold on unlock/lock, my drivers one still folds and ufolds slower than passenger though (must be a good couple of seconds slower)!
I've noticved this on mine too. The drivers is slower, but if you look then you will notice the drivers mirror also folds a lot closer to the side window that the passenger one. I don't know if this is designed this way to give you more access in small parking spaces. Looking from the front on, it looks a bit strange because it is clearly noticeable, not a massive difference though. Anyone have any opinion on this?
Hi Ashley
There have been some other posts on this a while back (I think it was Stu who noticed this as well) and someone mentioned the angle are slightly different, It doesn't bother me really, just a bit odd.
One thing that DOES annoy me is the telephone ring volume!! I can't see how you can turn the volume down BEFORE the phone rings. I was driving home last night and was in my own little world when my wife rang and it was so loud (the ring volume not my wife ) it scared the s**t out of me lol. I can only turn the volume down once it starts ringing. Anyone else notice or know how to solve this? I can't see any settings for it.
Does the phone volume not stay at the selected volume when you alter it during receiving a call? Funny thing with my mirrors is that this afternoon they seem to be working at the same rate! Voodoooo car!
One thing I am pee'd off about is the fact it's got to go into Audi on Saturday morning for brand new discs and pads on the front. It's only done 60 miles ***! The NSF disc is scored really badly and has been since it was delivered to me. Didn't see it initially because of the rain and surface rust that had formed on the disc! Complete pain in the ****! Grrrrrrrrrr Poor show Audi! Still love the car thougH!
I don't think my mirrors have ever worked at the same rate, but it is a bit strange! Not sure if you have noticed yet as well but they don't fold when driving, it must be a safety thing but my Astra ones used to fold at any speed (when the button worked!) and it was handy on the country roads to work when there isn't much room!
This is like a BMW as far as im aware. They would unfold automatically at i think 10mph and couldn't be folded over this speed. Stupidly just like the Audi, they also don't fold when you lock the car. Although using a relay there must be some way round this. Managed to do it on a Mondeo a few years back so the remote signal would trigger the fold switch singnal. Maybe somebody will look into that!
I'm new to this forum and would like some advice on insuring my new BE which I'm picking up tomorrow. My existing insurance company cannot find the 2.0 TDI (140ps) listed anywhere and I can't seem to find it listed on any of the comparison websites either. Even the woman at Audi insurance where they give you 7 days complimentary insurance couldn't find it. Has anyone else had this problem and what companies should I try for quotes? Many thanks in advance
At last - my BE SB arrived today! Took it for a quick spin and very pleased. Pics to follow next week if I can drag myself away from the wheel long enough!
I am collecting my Black Edition 2.0 tdi today evening from Audi. It's an Exclusive Java Green colour (i know some will like it and others will hate it). I spoke to a lady at Audi insurance called Debbie. With great difficulties she eventually found the car I was buying. Try giving them another call
Hi everybody. The following is part of an email that Ive just received fro Audi UK re my a3 sb-be on order.
It may be of interest to anyone who is waiting for a black edition.
I have had a look into this for you and your vehicle is confirmed into week 46 this will not change the vehicle confirmed into this week last week sometime so I see no reason why you cannot take delivery this year. I have taken a look in the factory system to see what has been happening and it has been moving around between week 41 and 48 and this is purely down to Audi having such few production slots.
With regards to your vehicle Bluetooth is not on your order. Bluetooth is now standard but for orders placed now for delivery in 2011 as this is part of our Fast Start offer.
Thank you Tori Audi UK
Music... Why don't you wait until 1 Jan and save yourself £2-300 (increased trade in value) and beat the VAT increase which comes in I believe on 5 January.
Hmm... Not sure if I have seen that yet! Are you able to post any pics? The Black Edition in the showroom had the symphony radio. The thing is though, if I bought the DVD system is it worth getting the bluetooth etc? :/ God it adds on loads of money... Just don't know if it needs all the extras to really shine!
