I recently got my second b7 a4 which I have started touching up a bit.
The thing that is bothering me about the car is that the wheels are sticking way too in, especially the rear ones. So, I have started looking for some spacers, could anyone that has experience please help me what spacer size to put so that i dont have any rubbing issues yet achieve an (almost) flush look. I recently fitted the new tires and went for 225 instead of what they should be originally (235), because i had already read that with wider tires the rubbing issue is more likely to happen.
I am inclining more towards fitting 15mm only on the rear, because at the front I dont want to put much stress on the drive shaft and bearings, however, I want your opinion..

Tires: 225/40R18 92Y XL
Wheels: 8jx18 ET43 (from factory)
Suspension: Stock S line

Here are some pics of it.

you need 235/40 on 8j rims for b7 fitment , then add spacers to suit your prefered offset/poke. ET43 is the factory offset so adding 10/12 will bring you to around ET33/31on the rear which is fine.
A happy medium is 10mm/12mm on the rears and 5mm/8mm fronts , that will avoid rubbing issues and the fronts wont look like a tractor.
