Sad I know, but I checked the posts for status 21 and their dates back to page 99 as I wanted to see if it could change on any day of the week. It seems they all went to status 21 on a Thursday so I'm hoping this means ours will change in 2 days time or next Thursday for you Billy if it doesn't jump a week early.

cheers @boaby I appreciate that bit of research, at least it gives us a good idea of start times! fingers crossed it does start this Thursday for yourself and then I'm on track to start a week later like you've just said. even if mine does start like we predict it means mine will begin on the 8th, so 4 days early. I could potentially have it in the UK before the end of the year which will be nice for a delivery in the first week of Jan...

From the small sample I used it ranges from:

Status 20-21 = 12-16 days
Status 21-30 = 05-07 days
Status 30-39 = 09-16 days

After that it could be up to a week depending on how the dealer receives and organises delivery to you.

We'd need to be at the shortest end of each range to get the cars this side of the year.

I have a 3-door S3 on order through Kings Lynn Audi, build week was week 46 and it's progressed remarkably smoothly up to now, until it arrived in Grimsby. I can't collect until 23 December (!) when I head down to East Anglia to see my folks for Christmas, so I wonder if it'll sit there for a few weeks, presumably because the dealer has to pay for it as soon as they take delivery? Manufacturing build phases below:

I've just scrapped our 15 year old car, so I'm car-less for a month which isn't too big a problem in Edinburgh, but I can't wait to get my hands on it. In the meantime, I'm having to make do with YouTube videos and reading the manuals (when I can find them online). Does anyone have a link to the Virtual Cockpit user manual? Looking forward to running it in on the drive back North at New Year.

I worked in the automotive industry for a few years (I have been to Ingolstadt) and I was particularly surprised how quick it went through QC.

Ring and hassle the salesman, mine was same I just said I'm without a car mines sat at Grimsby, it's not rocket science. He chased it up Friday I pick up. I've had no status update but got the 5 day insurance cover note starts Friday.
