Aux lead

I've just brought a audi a3 tdi, 2009 plate, the aux connection is at the side of the hand brake, but when i connect my phone upto it, its doesn't display under the source on the head unit????

i cannot get this to work at all???

Youved posted this under the 8L section.

This would be better under the 8P section.

Hopefully a mod will be a long to move it for you soon.

The 8L, 8P and 8V is different codes for that generation of A3.
Like MK1 and MK2 used by Ford and Vauxhall.

8L was 96 to 02/03 I think.
Yours being a 09 is a 8P.

Its all a learning curve.
No one was born with a knowledge of everything.

Do you not need to press and hold the CD button? or press it twice?
failing that it might need coded with VCDS?
