Hi everyone just wondering if anyone had come across the issue I've got with my car when the wipers are on I can hear a click noise when they are at the top of the window which is very annoying it's not the blade hitting the top of the window ? But I've noticed that the drivers side arm is hitting the bonnet and has taken the paint off does this mean I need to alter the bonnet ? But that doesn't seem to be the noise because it's coming from the passenger side arm? Any advice would be great.

Thanks jonny

I have this also but not had chance to see if it is actually hitting the windscreen side trim yet.

Would be interested to hear if you find a solution!

I'm not sure if I had the same noise as you guys, my wipers would make a 'tapping' noise as it reached the highest point in the arc when in operation and I was advised that it was simply down to old worn out wiper blades (they worked well at clearing the screen despite the noise they made).

I replaced them with a new set from TPS and all is good again.

Im thinkng if I replaced mine if it would fix it ? Maybe the wipers I've got on the car are the wrong size making the arm stick out more that it should if they were the originals. But I've also been thinking if I put a washer on the bonnet hinge the raise the bonnet but might raise it to much and raise above the wing. Right pain in the ****.

why put a washer on,id do it the proper way, proper fix, just like it was when it came out the factory

I'm just trying to resolve the problem I can't see any other post on the same issue I've looked all over the internet. I can see where it's hitting on the bonnet because the paint has worn on the wiper arm. I've not been to a garage yet but tbh I don't think they would know how to fix it unless there specialise in audis or German cars in general. Don't really fancy the audi dealership just yet.

take the nut off the wiper arm and move it up a notch on the spindle...........unless im missing something here?

Tried this last night couldn't get the wiper off I was pulling it but didn't want to damage it. I'll take some pictures tonight and put them up.

Thanks again for the help.

seized on,spray wd40 leave it a day or so then try taking it off,i used a wheel bearing puller on mine, thats how bad it was seized on,once its off cote the spindal with copper grease,no problems in future then.

Ok ill try the wiper change first then if that doesn't work I'll try to get the arm off. And if that's doesn't work then I'm stuck.

Took my car to a shop before it's not the blade the arm on the passenger side something is loose so I've now I've got to try and get the arms off to get behind the the plastic trim off I bought a windscreen remover tool from machine mart which snapped within me using it for 2 mins does anyone else know of another tool I could use I've seen a Sealey VS807 Wiper Arm Puller Heavy-Duty which looks good but can only source it off the internet much rather buy it from a local shop.

vs807 wont do it.
may be cheaper to go to a place that fits windscreens........itl take them seconds, and save you alot of money and time .....or buy this but if this dont work again youll be wasting money

I ended up buying this on eBay 370379863457 hoping it will do the trick this is just to get behind the plastic to try and see what is loose behind it I'm hoping it's just a bolt that I can tighten back up and not that the motor arm is broke. :-/ but if not I may take u up on that and pop down thanks 😃.
