Hello,

I want to cut the BOSE ground to disable the flat eq as talked about here:

http://www.audi-sport.net/vb/a3-s3-sportback-8p-chassis/92156-disconnecting-bose.html

Does anyone know the exact wire I need to cut?

My headunit is this and I believe I am on the QUADLOCK system:

Do I cut the wire that goes into the socket labelled "bose" or is it another wire?

Thanks!

Also how do I get the headunit out, flat blade screwdrivers?

You need a set of removal keys, using anything else will likely damage the fascia and potentially damage the mechanism.

Rather than cut the wire I would remove the pin from the quad lock and insulate it in electrical tape, I hate cutting OEM wiring as I like the option to reverse my work. The pin is labelled as Bose on the top of the headunit where there is a pin diagram.

As above 100%, don't cut the wire at all, remove the pin properly & always use the proper radio keys or you wont get it out without a crowbar, mess up the fixings & I can assure you it will become very expensive.

You can pick up the head unit keys on ebay for a couple of quid. Just search Audi CD Removal and there are loads.
