Received some new parts this week in preparation for upgrading to Revo Stage 2+.
Autotech HPFP internal parts from
@LVS Racing
06D 109 309C Cam Follower
WHT005184 O-Ring Seal
079 130 757 RS4 fuel valve
I had this afternoon spare so cracked on changing the fuel valve for the RS4 version.
I had a guide to follow as well as a new set of crows feet, although it could be possible with bending spanners.
Changing the fuel valve took about an hour it was fiddly but got there in the end.
The next task was to replace the cam follower and upgrade the HPFP internals.
Removing the HPFP was fairly easy although the rubber fuel pipe was a pain due to the spring clips being in awkward positions.
Carefully removed the HPFP and cam follower and inspected it for wear. The cam lobe didn't have an scoring, and the old follower shown little wear.
I dipped the new follower in some oil and gently pushed it in to its hole.
I followed a guide to change the HPFP internals, this was fairly straight forward but does require a 18mm deep socket, and out of my 1 million piece Halfords Pro set I didn't have, got all other sizes how annoying.
Luckily a neighbour was on hand to lend me his to save me a visit to the shop with little sun light left.
The upgrade was complete and refitting the HPFP was just a reverse of removal.Everything tightened up, plugs reconnected, and a quick prime and ignition to check for leaks. All OK.
I haven't been for a blast yet as it was rush hour heading home and I need to lower my Revo settings to less than 9.
Over the weekend I'll be visiting my local Revo dealer and getting upgrade to stage 2+ then will do some logs to check the timing and fuelling settings are correct.
