Auto headlight sensitivity

I tend to leave my headlights switched to auto
However I've noticed that regardless of the set-up
'early, medium or late' they always seem to come on when it's still
Daytime! Anyone else notice this?

my a3 a4 gti passat st all come on when ever they want
unless its really bright
not that offen

Yeah mines the same. Its really strange. Dosent always work in tunnels either? Mines on medium and seems to work best on that setting for mine.

I've mine set to come on as late as possible but still it's too early. Works fine in tunnels though.

I wish the detection sensitivity was somewhere in VCDS.

I’ll apologise in advance as I don’t know much about VCDS and may have got It wrong, but I thought I’d seen something about
adjusting the sensitivity of light sensor, may be even from Ross-tech – EDIT Oh just found what I was referring too, suggesting that it can’t be done

mine are set to late and come on during the day sometimes, i have also wondered this :L
