Hi,

Just got off the phone to my local AMD dealer and they are saying that for road use they would reccomend a performace shock and spring kit over coilovers. I'm not that bothered about the ride height being stupidy low I just want it to handle well and not knock out my teeth down country roads. Just wanted to hear your opinons on what I should go for and why.

Cheers

James

Coilovers are perfect for road use, whether your driving your nan to the shops are caning it round roundabouts.

If your more bothered about comfort then I'd agree and say go for a good quality springs and shocks kit.

Give me a shout if I can be any help.

Damian @ DPM Performance

And if you want buy shocks a d springs and your nothappy how it sits after.Your stuck with it that way
good quality coils you want ...

Depends on what you want...if you want something to fit and forget, then a shock and spring kit may be fine, but if you want to tailor the ride to what you want, then a good coilover kit is what you want, but it will cost more, and need more setting up.

The ride quality doesnt need to be harsh either.

I got the V Maxx plus from DPM, height and damping adjustable, tried them hard and soft, low and high, it's well worth being able to set

them up exactly how u want. I mine!

Amazing service from Damien @ DPM too.

I got Vmaxx coilovers too but only went with the hight adjustable ones.

Ride is spot on and still might make a few adjustments to the ride hight but to me that's part of the fun

Ah he mentioned your name the other day.

All good I hope lol

Need to speak to him actually, was hoping he might be able to help me with something.

It's a good set up he's got there, professional and friendly, I've recommended him to a few m8's.

Shame he doesn't do a remap for mine, I've heard the 3.2 drives better post remap although not much quicker.

There is a map available for the 3.2 V6, not as much gains as a turbo, but the car will drive alot better. If you pay before saturday, there is £150 off maps at the moment.

Lol N8's really going for it with the sales
