Owned my S3 for 2 weeks now, just have few issue's:

Everytime I change gear from 1st to 2nd I feel a movement in my engine... is this normal..or is that a sign to change the mounts..? Also do the S3 8L's have side mounts and or gearbox mountings that go easily..?

Another issue I have is that my turbo down pipe is touching my prop shaft - everytime I let of the accelerator (on decelaration) it vibrates very strongly - always after the needle drops below 3k.

Any advice on how to deal with these would be much appreciated - please bear in mind I am running 340bhp on this S3 and I want to find out before if I can fix these problems myself before driving a long journey to MRC - where it was built.

Thanks

moving engine can offen be cured by replacing the bushes in the dog mount.
uprated versions are available for under £20

Full spec of engine?
downpipe hitting prop shaft seems back street garage to me.......
Well I hope not..!

The guy who built it is a Audi specialist so looks like i am going to have to give him a bell..
Spec is below:

Chassis:

Powerflex bushes front and rear. ARB’s and Engine Mount - but this seems to have gone
KW variant 3 Coilovers
Forge Adjustable Rear Track arms
R32 front and rear anti roll bars
Uprated Haldex Controller (50:50 split)
4 Pot front AP Racing brakes with new Ferodo DS200 pads

Engine:

GT2860RS Turbo
3” s/s custom down pipe
3” s/s de-cat pipe
Full Milltek exhaust
High flow cast exhaust manifold
Braided Oil and water turbo lines
3” s/s inlet pipe
Lighweight aluminium flywheel
Forged bottom end
Bosch fuel pump
660cc Injectors
Forge front mount intercooler with silicon boost hoses
RS2 spark plugs
Pipercross air filter
Short shift kit
MRC Tuning Remap

Thinking of getting gas flowed ported and polished head with uprated cams too but first want to sort the issue with the movement and exhaust out.

OK, 660CC injectors seem excessive??
Aluminium fly wheel???? it wll need steel in it though?
the rest looks good........
Like said the dogbone mount is fav for them issues
