Pedal movement

Just had a new clutch pedal fitted on Wednesday and since I got it back it over revs on gear change. so rather clutch switch (only 3 months ago fitted) was broken fitting new pedal or new pedal is missing clutch switch
I can move the new clutch pedal left to right by about 30mm is this normal (never really checked before a) or could this mean it's missing the switch?

Hi mate i had the same issue when i change my clutch pedal.. There is 2 small washers that go on each side of the pedal before fitting. I missed this out when i fitted mine and had the play... Ull have to take it apart again too fit those washers on each side of pedal im afraid

Well just had a look and there's no washers there so back to the garage it goes then. Do you think that's enough movement to not connect with clutch switch properly?
