Petrol prices: v power to normal unleaded?

I usually use Sainsburys 97 in my S3 as I've got one closeby and the price is always pretty reasonable but will give the car a couple tanks of V-Power every now and then as a treat.

MPG is about the same on the two fuels but the V-Power definately feels more 'pokey'
 
America tends to quote AKI numbers, which are usually lower than the UK RON rating. 95 RON petrol is 90-91 "octane" in the US.

102RON is the same scale as the UK stuff, but i've never heard of it being available here, other than the stuff BP trialled for a very short time.
May have to get in touch with the map provider, as it was on before i bought the car, maybe they put a track day map on it for stage 2?
It seems to run ok, if to complain a little jerky on part throttle, but got used to it now and can control it.
