Recently bought a 1999 s3 210 bhp went to get it re mapped it needed a air mass meter got that then got it remapped 3 weeks later lose all power chug back home from lowestoft to teeside and put it on a vagcom fault finder comes up air mass meter. Go back to europarts complain it is only 3 weeks old and they exchange for a new bosch unit. Fit new air mass meter and it is exactly the same, also when the air mass meter is unplugged the car runs perfectly !!!! Any ideas anyone would be gratefully appreciated....
 
Is the wiring faulty on the maf sensor connector?
 
sounds like wiring to me. Need to check the plug and the loom back from it. Post up the exact fault code dude
