How many S3 on here have a sunroof

Mine does.......not,can retrofit one though (pass me the jigsaw)

Mine does... I even used it yesterday, and moslt likely will today.
Damn lazy Air-con

mine does also and ill be using it today :yes:

The old W reg silver S3 that was behind me yesterday had one. Was lovered, different wheels and aftermarket exhaust. Someone said it was running big power but I never saw a fmic so its probably got a map and 230bhp (300bhp in his world).

mine doesn't
wouldn't have bought an s3 with one think they look poop lol, there fine on the blacks and ming blues but reds yellows etc think they look pants imo.

whats the biggy with having one on a modern car with aircon?

Mine has one.

Nice having a bit of natural air flow rather than aircon all the time imo

Me and my whole family suffers from Hayfever, so I'm not going to lose sleep over a sunroof, but some like fresh air going through the cabin on a warm day, and it's quite handy for keeping the interior cooler when parked up on hot days also.

Might sound weird but i've only ever test driven S3's wihout sunroofs, i'm test driving one with soon, someone wouldn't mind putting a pic up from inside and out? are they glass or body coloured panal?

cheers guys.

but the windows let in fresh air

any car i have owned that had a sunroof i have found pointless the only time its any good is on a motorway but then it gets to loud in the cabin.
just my opinion of course guys

Mine doesn't and I'm glad. Never seen the point of a sunroof and come later on in life they cause nothing but grief (i.e. water leaks) as the drain tubes get blocked or come off.

You don't need a sunroof Jase, when you have this.

Good point, that has a rather large sunroof :eek:)

From person experience:
My 1994 Ibiza had a leaking sunroof when the drain tube detached several times;
an ex's 1997 Pug 106 leaked for ages and we ended up sealing the damn thing shut with bathroom sealant;
My dad's 1997 Passat had the same drain tube problems as the Ibiza.

I had an 2003 passat at work. It leaked from all over the place. So if it had been raining over night it was a very good idea to bring your umbrella into the car ! Because when you drove away a flood of water came attacking you from the roof!

Had a few big laughs before I booked it in at VW's.

I don't - one thing I thought I would miss from the Clio. That was a manual one as well, so you could unclip it and remove it. Mastered the art of doing it quickly at the traffic lights, much to the amusement of the rest of the traffic.
