I had a fluid and filter change done today.
Its ace! I don't know if its the act of having fresh clean fluid or the software reset that's done it but all those annoying things it did, it now doesn't do.
Put your foot down at a roundabout and it goes, put your foot down more and it goes faster, no annoying hesitations and jerks.

If you've not had it done and your gearbox annoys you then its worth checking out!

Sounds good, what engine do you have and how many miles have you done so far?

It's the 3.0 TDI ccwa engine, 10 years old and 113k miles on it.

Back in 2014, I had an oil and filter change done on the Tiptronic box on my B7 3.0TDi Quattro. I don't know what the current guidance is but at that time, Audi in Europe said the box was sealed for life but in the USA, agreed it should have periodic oil changes. I figured that was a reflection of the USA's more onerous consumer protection legislation.

I'm glad I had it done; like yours, it transformed how the box operated.

Hi Owyn
Sounds interesting I’m looking into this myself but struggling to find a place to do it.
This is the 6speed ZF auto tiptronic box ?
Was this done at Audi due to software update?
As Audi say they are sealed for life and are not interested to do the job on ZF tiptronic but ZF do recommend oil service.
Cheers

I did consider doing it myself as I have access to a pit, have an obdeleven to do the software stuff etc. but really didn't want to mess it up. I googled ZF specialists and it turned out there was one about 10 miles from me, he had access to all the software and is audited by ZF every 10 weeks apparently.
The chap had the car for a day although I think its only half a days job.
I could tell he was a good option when I spoke to him, he knew the exact job, talked about a strut he needed to get off and the lifeguard 8 oil he needed to use.
When you start looking there are transmission specialists all over the place, its worth a Google.
My bloke was in Doncaster and can be recommended if you are anywhere near.

@Brewski uk

Where are you based? If you're anywhere near Kent, Essex or SE London, try Sanspeed in Bexleyheath. They did mine.
I’m north London, found one fairly close and doing some research but I will look them up also thanks for the heads up
Cheers

Who was the guy in Donny mate? Cheers

It was S&D Transmissions near Wheatley. I left the car with him for a day.

I just had mine changed by Audi Swindon. Oil and Filter at £199. Thought that was pretty good!
