I work in Insurance providing public, employers, professional indemnity, tools, plant and equipment cover for the Arb Industry. Our brokerage as a whole specialises in farms and estates but we have a niche product for tree surgeons and foresters. I have a book of clients I look after in anything from mid term changes to claims management and renewals.

I wouldn't make nod being able to own it, there a bit similar to out cars a constant drain on the finances. Our averages about £12/15 million a year to run and hats not including fuel, we bunker d 240 thousand litres of fuel yesterday, I joked about using my shell card for the points

I am a Datacentre and Cloud consultant for a Cisco Integrator in Newcastle upon Tyne. I am also a CCIE (for those you who know what that is). I basically spend all day every designing/deploying/talking about all sizes of datacentre networks. Yes, it is more interesting than it sounds. I have to do lots of driving for work, which is why i decided to ditch the GTD and get an S3 instead, because logic...

Your probably right the Aero industry is so incestuous right now I'm constantly bumping into the same contractors at different companies.

I'm finding there is a shortage of QE's & SQE's in this field due to the amount of offers that are coming through with very attractive hourly rates!

When self employed a few years back (I'm now an OAP) I was creating technical manuals and animated service manuals for engines that propel (post rocket - the noisy internal combustion bit) into this beast:

Not sure I should be talking about it mind; MAKE SURE you've got yer HATS ON and yer fingers in yer ears as this beastie is NOT designed to come back to base...

No matter what job you do someone will dislike what you do for a living ..I know I've done enough - never been anywhere longer than a year and clocked up close to 100 jobs - lots of temp work too but there's always someone somewhere who will have a go - if you can go to work, do a good job, have a laugh along the way, earn your money and go home - that's all anyone can ask :relaxed:
