Well the late night mechanics is becoming a bit of a weekly thing now. S3baby gets to mine we get the tunes on, grab a beer or coffee, and try to get through some jobs on the long list of things to do.
S3baby purchased one of Bills 3" Turbo Intake Pipes last weekend when we were down there for a rolling road day so we thought we'd get that on tonight.
Firstly got the car in the garage:
For those of you that haven't seen a Badger 5 3" TIP where have you been!? IT looks like this:
As you can see compared to the silicone jobbie we took off there is going to be a lot less restriction:
Anyway got cracking with the tools and started to put the new TIP together:
We ran into a few issues with the way the catch can was plumbed in but we managed to improvise round it and it ended up like this:
A quick wash of the hands and a coffee we then grabbed the laptop and VCDS cable and hit the road to test.
Last weekend S3baby hit around 199g/s on bills rollers so anything higher was going to be bonus air flow. I'll attach some of the logs below when I get to work tomorrow but it now peaks at 214g/s at 18psi!!!
Very impressive gains of air flow i'd say.
