I've recently noticed a squeak coming from what sounds like the front passenger side of the car.

Anyone have any ideas what it could be? Hopefully going to put it on a ramp on Friday for a better look.

Car is 2008 1.8tfsi b8 SE, only thing I've replaced in that area is the 17" wheels for 19" ones but can't imagine that causing the squeaking.

Thanks for any help.

I got the same thing on mine, apparently its lack of grease in one of the sealed arms on the suspension, audi fault i was told.

sealed unit, need to replace it, got told to inject some wd40 into it so it would fail mot with split rubber as there was no play so didn't need to replace it, did that but still the same, passed mot though, just the creeking noise when going slow to park up

Do you know what arm I need to replace? Easy to tell which? How much the unit is?

Thanks for your help mate.

you need to get it up on the ramps with the wheel lifted up and you can tell with one it will be, there's 2 i think, i got quoted £300 to do both sides , but left it for now as it passed mot
