I have seen various posts like yours and usual answers are check dip stick has an O"ring in it and sealed correctly , pcv is tighten correctly plus all hoses going to and leaving pcv are connect correctly , check pipes for any splits breakages and ware.
Plus as @LukeHS3 says a scan tells you a great deal so worth getting done , and if you get a proper tuner to look he should tell you by live readings if it has been mapped i would have thought

Look for one off these on your car . It should be hopefully at the front when u open bonnet.
Your post should be in the 8V section with it being a 2014 model . Might want to PM @Sandra ( admin ) to pop it over there as those boys might have advice to give you , all the best

Hi @Sag, welcome to the forum and a lifetime of questions now you’re in Audi ownership.

The 2014 is the 8V model, we the 8P which was <MY12.

I can’t see the map causing this more likely an airleak which diagnostics may not pick up. You could start with the PCV and the dipstick which are both DIY jobs.

Does it have any other aftermarket bits on it like I take?

Failing that, book in with a VAG specialist (not Subaru, BMW) - a smoke test would identify any other leaks but I can’t see you needing that at this stage.

Did you buy privately or via a dealer?

I’d recommend West Yorkshire Tuning, it’s at your side of Bradford not all that far from IKEA. They did my A3 Quattro this time last year and it’s been brilliant ever since.
He’s got a 4wd dyno and writes his own custom remaps in house. If you’ve got Facebook look them up on there as they put all their work on there ( there’s usually a lot of VAG cars, especially 4wd audis).
You could pay just for a dyno run and then he would tell you if it’s been remapped or not and if the remap is any good or not.
There prices are good aswell.

Have a look on the Vcd's map on here and PM a member close to you , who would normally do an Autoscan for you for a few beer tokens , as it might be nothing to do with a map if your car is reving on its on

No after market bits and bought it from a garage but they don’t have any mechanics there, not sure where they take their cars but don’t think they are clued up on the s3

Take it to an audi garage and get the std map re installed so you know where you are starting from, if it has a stg 1 and you have no idea who loaded it and what make its pretty useless anyway as might be doing more harm than good on an expensive motor like this.
Personally i would go with Sam and check PCV and dipstick but TBH it could be a 1000 different things most likely some 50p sensor somewhere.
Get it back to stock and go from there.

Be worth asking some off the lads on here what you expect to see if car is getting mapped ( if ur removing map that ur car maybe have ) ie graphs , etc just that i had mine done with a Tunner of 30yrs but had no graph to show gains bhp or torgue but i certainly feel the difference and the response is better .

You shouldn’t go wrong there.
From what I see on Facebook he quite often gets people going to him that have poor maps from other places.
Just make sure you have it done on the dyno so youve then got a printout to show it’s been done right and also proof of the power it’s putting out.
