the weld on mine lasted until i had to turn the steering full lock and it made a small hole into a rather large one. I just forked out for a new one from audi at £62 and its all sorted now
Old thread revival but why does the S3 have all those extra bends in it? I noticed the TT and R32 don't? Is it to cool the fluid or something?
Really get in the way when changing the box oil that's for sure.
I cant understand why it has such a long bend/pipe and loops back. What would happen you if you remove that completely and just take it directly from the reservoir to the steering rack?
Well like I say, from the images I've seen, the R32/TT lines aren't anywhere near as long/bent up.
Agreed, why complicate things, If mine decides to leak or break I am sure as hell not replacing it with the same design.You're paying extra for all those bends...
