After reading Anthony's thread I became slightly interested in tuning my 2013 1.8 TFSI.

Doing a Google search it appears most websites don't have this car listed as a remap, is this because the ECU is locked?

Going to DTUK's website there is a chip for it, is that an alternative method to increase the HP?
How difficult is it to install as I can't seem to find any Youtube videos on installations, any videos or installation manuals for this?

I am going with a box as fitting and removal take a few minutes and will remove any potential warranty issues with my dealer plus mapping my ECU is not as easy as with older B8's as the ECU is locked and I am told has to be removed to chip and the dealer would know this has been done once the car is plugged in ....

just have it mapped

Audi knew mine was remapped when it was plugged into there computer.

and i know of a few that have been done from 2009/2012
my mate does them

They can still be remapped if it is locked, it just requires the tuning company to take the ECU out and do it that method instead. Thats how mine was done.

So I'm debating whether or not to do it, if i do it would be from AMD Essex as it's only about a 30 minute drive away from me

I still have a 2 year warranty on my car although I would probably never take it to an Audi dealer to have it serviced, would probably get a specialist to do that.

Get it done and void the warranty?
Or wait it out 2 more years then do it?
