Original RS3 grill to S3

Is the genuine RS3 prefacelift grill compatible to the standard S3 front bumper?

I’m wondering to change my standard grill to one of this, but I read and heard that the original is not compatible at all.

Take it to a garage surely it doesn’t cost that much to get a front grill swapped over? Even better if you know someone who can do it!!

No I don’t have it yet. I’m running a 3er party one but last Thursday and idiot break it. I have to replace it and I think to put a genuine RS3 one because his car insurance will pay all the damage

Don’t worry about anything then if insurance is taking care of it they will get the correct grill for your car and obviously fit it. ‍ I don’t see why you need to know if the original fits though as your not actually going to be buying, ordering or fitting it?

hey thanks for replying! Insurance will pay the amount of my genuine S3 grill, but I want to put the RS3 one and I have to pay the difference. My question is if the genuine RS3 one will fit in my bumper, or I have to put again an aftermarket one.
