Oil type with EGR & DPF delete......

Basically I appear to have had a slight brain fart and it's now dawned on me that in theory, I should now not be stuck to the VW 504 00 & 507 00 5W-30 specified oil as I no longer need the lower SAPS as I no longer have a DPF.

So I am right in thinking that I can now use an oil that no longer has to be to the above specs?

I would imagine the choice of oil brands and specs etc would increase a lot and thus pricing levels would also be very good.

Unless your going to a Ester racing marketed oil , stick with 507.00 .

As long as you stick to a good quality fully synthetic as 504.00 and 507.00 oils tend to be high spec oils .
You could go with a very high quality oil.

I allways used castrol magnatec before and after when I had my dpf removed. Had no problems with it.

Poor specs , Magnatec is pure marketing.
