Got an 2008 1.9tdi e A3 at the end of February, and i think it has been out of the garage about a week.

Have had the egr valve, camshaft sensor and wheel hub changed.

It is currently in limp mode (struggles greatly with hills), the esp light is on, the low plug light is flashing, the engine light is on, the dpf light is on.
Had a reading done and i got the code P0642 Sensor reference voltage A circuit low.

Had an autospark check it and he says connections are fine so must be the ecu.

Could ecu repair fix all the issues listed above, or any ideas please?

Sometimes it's better to bite the bullet and pay the cash and either get Audi or a Vag specialist to sort these problems for you cause they will be done once and hopefully once only rather than paying Tom **** + Barry

If you got the car cheap then what you saved. Will go towards chlz64 said .

The Camshaft sensor that was replaced will be a hall effect type, therefore uses the 5V voltage output by the ECM. This could be defective causing the ECM to complain. Just disconnect it and see what happens after clearing fault. You can also provide measured voltage on theconnector pins by using the multimeter ground connected to the Metal Engine...

Post back your finding.

Do you mean disconnect the camshaft sensor, then clear faults, then re connect?

By the way, the car was already in limp mode with the eml on, before the camshaft sensor was changed. Limp mode only started after egr valve was changed.

I'm only saying disconnect Camshaft sensor to see if the Sensor reference voltage A circuit low error goes.

Do it after the car is warm so it can start easily with the sensor disconnected - it can use Crankshaft sensor to start engine (It will raise Camshaft error but we're more concerned with the voltage error)

Okay, took to Audi Indy and he diagnosed throttle body. When throttle body was disconnected the ESP light went off, so I have ordered a new throttle body. When i connect the new one, could this also fix the flashing glow plug, EML and very slow acceleration? Cheers
