Is the A4 1.4 COD/ACT ?

I wonder what the rationale behind that is. Or is the North-South layout not allowing it ? It's not a transverse engine is it ?

It does seem rather strange, I had the cylinder deactivation on my A3, never once noticed it going into 2 cyl mode. What is even stranger is that the A3's now have a 1.5l engine to replace the 1.4 which is also COD...

Yes we are getting a Karoq with the 1.5 so I assume Audi will fit that instead soon, maybe with the FL.
