Rich that was just a taster of what he had... You should've heard some of the other music... You would've passed out with all the laughing.:lmfao:

I thought it was getting a little weird at Foody fa fa - whatever that is!

Sad i couldn't be there, looks great, must organise another one!

I agree to that too... Alex's car definately got pull on it... Maybe not like a 330 remap should do.. personallly i thought it would leave a standard S3 for dead but it still pulls away from standard.

The sound it gives though is awesome... esp in the tunnels.
Sound of an airplane???? MOST definately!!
If only we could have recorded it to show you guys what we mean.

Seeing that starting grid at the GP was amazing... the REAL thing that i've always seen on tv. Was definately a buzz to do.. 3 2 1...!!

Alex what you reckon of the speed cameras?

Well, like everyone says the 330 map is more likely 315/320 bhp, but I think it did pretty well against leon, we were doing 100+ leptons side by side, he put his foot down, I followed (by which time he was half a car length ahead), and about 5-10 seconds later I was a car and a half ahead if my memory serves.

Would you agree Leon?

GP was awesome! Keep on having flash backs!

I recon we'll be fine, I didn't hear anything last time, so touch wood!

One video I uploaded last night. You tube always butchers the sound/image quality :sob:

Yes that is a two-way road!!

If you watch it on youtubes website and click on "Watch in high quality" it looks much better.

Quick question for you 3 S3 guys... What did you use to get all the bugs off? I've got a few stubborn splats that wont come off even with Tardis. It almost looks like glue that has set!

Baked bugs....mmmmmMMmmm.......

Not sure how bad is your case, but do you wax your car often? It helps the removal process.

I saw siu00adg's car today, it was brutal.:puke2:

It was nowhere NEAR the state of siu00adg's car! But there were a few that looked as though they were hit at mach 1! I use shampoo with wax in it. By the looks of things it doesn't protect the car enough!

had a go at my car today, got 99% of the bugs off, there are still one or two black smudges that I couldn't get off without rubbing hard and risking swirl marks, so they'll have to wait till the next full detail.

Going to detail mine tomorrow.... Work has been busy so i havent had the chance at all to clean it. Its filthy!
Bug splats are solid but im hoping it will all come straight off...
Going to foam the car, then two bucket method with some shampoo... Plus the water from the pressure washer is 50/60 degrees like alot of Detailers use so should be ok. Fingers crossed.. its been about a week since we've come back so you can imagine how hard the splats are going to be.
Cheers

Yea they would have dried up a bit in the sun! Let us know how it went and if you've resorted to using acid! :icon_thumright:

Cheers Alex :)

Ive not been online for a few days, been out enjoying this sunshine ;)

@ Lil Coz, The car was pitted with bugs (as seen in the pics) so I:

1: Blasted it on rinse mode at the local garage.
2: Mixed up a VERY hot bucket of water with the usual car shampoo and washed with a microfibre cloth. Most if not all the bug splatter came off which is probably down the wax that i'd applied before we left for France.
3: Finally i clayed it to get any residue off.
4: Then finished it with a detailer spray.

Then voila, like new again ;)

Well done the car yesterday.
Got rid of all the evidence of the Mass Murder at the front end of the car.
Looks spotless again... Noticed afew stone chips... but was kind of expecting them anyway... Ahem too much :racer::blackrs4:

Pressure rinsed car at 60degrees then foamed it with Hyper Wash.
Used two bucket method Poorboys Shampoo and used Poorboys wheels cleaner on the alloys.
The hot water made the splats come off with ease. (Recommend it)
Then dried it with Waffle weave towels.
And finally put some of that Jeff werkstatt acrylic gloss. Top stuff kept the car tip top throughout the France trip.

Cheers

2030miles from luton. :arco: Loadsa loadsa fun miles

You from Luton? I'm just round the corner from you! Dumpstable :ninja:...

2k miles is a fair whack.... When I done Lands End to John O'Groats, that was a 2k mile round trip so comforting that it wont be much more than that when I eventually do Verdon!
