fog lights flashing

afternoon all

i have a weird fault with my a3. i noticed today that when i turn the ignition on the fog lights flash on and off about 5 times then turn off. they have never done this before. i have a set of cree led's in with resistors to stop the warning coming on but they have just started doing this.
has anyone else had this problem?

No, it's the canbus checking them; you probably haven't noticed it before. My sidelights do the same.....

Can this 'check' be turned off with VCDS?

mines been doing that for years, I have led DRLs on my headlights and they flash several times on ignition and I also have led sidelights on my van that do the same, its never caused me any issues and they're still going strong years in, I wouldn't worry too much about it - as for VCDS Im not sure it can be turned off

I wish it could be turned off. I dont like it flashing tbh
