Flashing lights!!

Lately I've noticed that when I open my door a few of my aircon buttons light up (It's always the buttons which are active).
Only happens when the ignition is off, and the lights go back off after a second or two.
I've also noticed that sometimes the lights flash on/off after I close the door as well.

All seems a bit random, and I can't remember if this has always happened and I've just never noticed.

Does the same happen to anyone else's?

Yep, mine does this. I've just assumed it was something to do with the immobiliser. Showing it was still active or something?? It stops when the ignition is on so it seemed feasible to me. It probably isn't this though.

I have no faults showing on my unit when its scanned with VCDS so I'm not worried about it.

If anyone has any idea what it is, then it would be nice to know what it actually is.
