Hi Folks,

There is a lot of information out there about fitting cruise to B6's, and I'm fairly confident of completing the modification this weekend. I just have one question which I cannot find a definite answer to:
What version/part number of the steering-wheel control module is required for activating cruise?

I've read that there is a possibility that the control module fitted to Cab's may already have the cruise option and it just needs to be coded with Vag-Com. Can anyone enlighten me as to the correct part numbers? I read somewhere it is possible to test if the module is compatible by trying to code it to cruise and seeing what errors are produced, this sounds a little risky, unless someone has an idiot's guide...

If the control module is compatible, all that's required is the stalk, the facia panel and coding of the steering-wheel control module and the ECU? Right? Sounds too good to be true as all that can be obtained for under £40!

Thanks as always,
Seb.

if you have MFSW then you only need is

So all you need is: Switch - 4E0953521B4PK - £26.12+vat

2 screws - N90906802 - £0.09p each +vat

Lower Cowl - 8E0953512P 6PS* (for near black trim*) - £25.59 + vat

if you have VCDS you can check what SCM you have fitted
