Continental AllSeasonContact tyres?

I currently have Avon ZV7s on my Quattro Avant. I am considering going with the Contis next time. The Avons are very good but the idea of all weather tyres apeals to me. Especially as I live halfway down a muddy old hill - its all muddy around my part of Somerset actually :/
And if it snows I may well be stuck, Quattro or not. Actually its more the stopping than the going that wories me.
ANyone tried them yet?

I have a set of winter contact conti's on my A4 quattro and they work very well, I live in rural Devon so it's either wet or muddy or muddy and wet!
It certainly helps with the stopping power in the wet, I'd go for cross climates but I do have 2 sets of wheels so not a problem going for the winters, I do have cross climates on the OH's Volvo xc70 and they work very well on that.
