Nope it's bolted underneath on the master cylinder and the bolt is facing towards aircon pipes so really hard to get any tool on it

Well, I think I'd check if I were you. They stopped making them hydraulic because of the need to bleed the brakes. Wouldn't it be easier just to have a look at the pedal before you start on the m/cyl?

It's not a hydraulic switch it looks like works like a electro magnet :/

I'll have a look up by the pedal

@ Fangio the switch is underneath the servo. It's not on the brake pedal

If that's a brake light switch, how does it know how to put the brake lights on? How does it connect to them?

This switch, is what normally throws error codes.

I thought he was changing his brake light switch, the one that switches the stop-lights on? He never mentioned error codes.

In another thread I have a brake pressure fault and Ross say that this could be at fault so desided to spend £20 on a switch instead of £200 on a abs pump at the moment, and I went to change and couldn't realy see anyway if getting to the bolt, which is why i put this thread up

Did it solve your problem, I've search for hours for brake light switch , they all show on the pedal but I thought this must be it as I don't have a wire down near the pedal, is yours dgs or manual

@ Conza, Sorry to bring up an old thread but did you eventually figure out the best way to change the switch. I looks like a ball ache of a job to get too! Just wondering the best way to approach it and what to remove to get to it.

    Thanks!
