Hello, I have a A8 3.7 Sport 2001 model, battery totally flat overnight, key is spinning in boot lock so cannot access battery.
I have been told that there is a charge/boost point under bonnet but can't find it.
Does anyone know where it is or if it does not exist how do I get enough charge into the battery to use electronic key?
Please please help, car is dead.
Thanks, Dave

Hi Dave - I have a 2000 Audi S8. Same problem as you. Did you get an answer ?

Thanks, Lyndon

take it that link was of no use???

If you can open the bonnet, stick 12v (either a battery charger or another battery/jump pack) onto the starter motor or alternator studs, and ground the other lead on the engine block.

Alternatively you can do the same at any permenant 12v source on the car, but bear in mind whereever you choose will be supplying power to all the cars electrics, so while hooking it up to the interior light seem like a good idea, you run the risk of melting wires.

The central electrics panel (which is presumably behind the drivers knee bolster) has a suitable fat connection too.
