Right last weekend my battery was on its last legs so done the normal thing and replaced it. So after i went to my mates and he gave me a n74j valve and so then we fitted.

Couple of days have gone now and it dont seem as quick now i have checked it on vag-com nothing came out so is it down to the valve?
Or by replaceing the battery would that have done some thing to my remap??

Do you mean he gave you a n75j valve?

Anyway, the N75J valve controls boost basically. When I fitted the J valve to both 1.8Ts I've had, there was a noticeable difference to both engines in performance. More specifically the amount of boost produced at lower revs.

I think it's presumptuous to say that the valve is at fault after changing the battery, without testing the old one first. The problem being that you did them both at the same time. Drive it for a while and let the ECU adapt to your driving again.

Yes it is the N75j sorry i knew it was some thing like that whoops.
Ok cool well i will leave it on there for a bit as i have a lot of driving to do over the weekend and see if it makes a diffrence.
