Having some problems with mine

First found that the car sounded like the exhaust was blowing but i plugged in the code reader ( code 16795 ) and it came up with the S.A.I system

What are the common problems and how can it be fixed

Pictures would help if possible

I read somewhere (and can't find it now...) that the pump unit casing is riveted together and over time the rivets break / stretch making them noisy. They rivets can easily be drilled out and replaced with long bolts (4mm diameter IIRC) so the gap in the casing is closed. This keeps the pump running quiet, all for the sake of about 5 long bolts. I'll have a look again for the guide....

yaa its basicly in the same place aslong as the s3 is the same as a a3 qts
realy quick fix and stops that noise when you first start up

mine use to sound like a jet on start up not good lol

Had a look at it this morning and it looks like its already been done before.

Its started to blow a bit more now and the sound it coming more from the back, i can see that the turbo has been off at one point as there is a nut and bolt holding the turbo to the manifold. looks like i will be fixing that on Monday

so i got that scanner you told me about... it arrived today and i got the same fault!

only one on the other thread, control module locked? what doth that mean
