Thanks mate, i love the car but i'm a Moderater on WWW.RS2000-16V.COM so i should be driving an rs, before anyone knocks Ford, I sold my last S3 to finance an Escort Cosworth and looks was the only place i felt the cossie was better than the S3.

I will email pics to anyone with genuine interest based in Bracknell, work in Hammersmith London.

Post em up,im sure most people will enjoy an Escort Cosworth, and they are miles better than an S3.

Im sure im not the only one thinking this, but how comes you have dropped the price so low??

Not to want to burst your bubble James or your continuing negativity against the S3.... the car was not built to be a track legend....the car is a good all rounder that happens to have a decent level of sophistication on all levels, its not the quickest, its definately not the slowest, its not the most comfortable although the level of refinement is far superior to that of a Ford Escort (or most other fords) or similar car..... if you hate it that much then stop posting here as its starting to look bitter now

BTW just for the record, i love the Escrot Cossie, a true legend that deserves its place in the history books

I dont hate the S3 i actually still like them,i wouldnt buy one, nearly did but got something better for the same money.:)

Your right the S3 isnt the slowest or the quickest and is a decent allrounder but thats all it is,nothing more but too many people on here believe otherwise.

yes and no.....i think most drivers are realistic, and probably try to race cars that they shouldnt..... but its about finding the boundaries...... taking on a roadcar and beating it in a Lambo will be a foregone conclusion in most cases...whereas with this car theres the element of 'will i' 'wont i'.......

We (including you) see the best in what we have purchased

I actually sold my A4 to buy an S3,but after driving a few (loads actually) i realised they was nowhere as good as i thought, quite alot better with a remap but still a let down.

fair comment mate...... we all look for different things.... and have to agree its a boring drive..... but when compared to my 1.8T, its a definate upgrade and has a decent interior to live with for some time (as that was a requirement at the time of buying)

Interiors are nice and the Recaros are very nice but thats all i liked.I was gutted after driving a few because i had my mind set on an S3 but it wasn't to be.

My S3's about as inspiring as shagging an ugly bird with a dose of clap!!! Even with the remap! Still, as I'm getting older (41) I guess a slower sensible car is the way forward! LOL

HPI clear, can you not read? I have a chance to get a mint low mileage car cheap, and as I told S3MAD I was advised by Morgan from Vag-check that the inlet timing chain will need doing in the future as it is a bit rattley on start up for about 2 secs, so price has been adjusted to allow the cost to fix it.
