Hey - I’ve looked at a number of other threads and haven’t found the answer. I drive a 16 plate Q3, sline.
I’ve got a CarPlay screen (not hardwired in to the MMI just a dash board model). It came with a reverse camera that I need to wire up. I already have a reverse camera on the car but it’s not the best plus I need to put the screen down to get the CarPlay screen on the dash.
My question is, it needs wiring to the reverse light but the reverse lights on this model are above the rear bumper not the tailgate. I know how to get the light out but trying to figure out how I’d get it up through the car to plug into the screen. Or if there’s a way I can tap into the wiring of the camera that’s already there? Or even just wire the screen to the current camera if I have to.
