Trip computer not working

Hey,

My trip computer seems to be jumping all over the place.

Can start the car and it says 200 miles. It will jump down to 180 before even driving and then back up to 220 or something like that.

The average mpg seems to be stuck at 22.8mpg doesn't seem to change and seems more juicy than usual. Any ideas?

I am assuming you mean miles left before "empty"... this will vary depending on how you are driving and circumstances of how you are driving... if cruising at an efficient speed then I would expect the value to creep back up but if you are giving it a bit of death then the value will drop... average MPG takes into account MPG over time... if you do not reset this every fill up then it will take it across the last time it was reset...

Thanks. I reset the computer today after filling up - miles still jump pretty hectic but the average mpg still stuck at 22.8
