One the first page of this topic, there are the wiring diagrams by @samisnake.
You have to study those mate.

If you don’t have rear PDC as I didn’t it is doable between 300 to 500€ depending on how easy you can find parts.Roughly, how much did all the parts cost? cheers

sensors are about 15€ each. Need 10 of them.
Module around 50€ used.
Cabling depending if you buy from Kufatec, or used. Maybe less than 100€.
Buttons 10-20€ each.
I had to source parts from different sellers so I had a lot of postage cost as well.
One of my best retrofits I have done!
I think the PLA sensors are only for park assist.
Front and rear does beep using the 4 front and 4 rear sensors only if I am not mistaken.
Also I don’t think there is something wrong with your system. The park assist modules need all components there to work. Even with one sensor faulty, the whole system stops working.
Thank you for the advice.I only know @Troubs12 that has PLA 2.0.
Maybe he can tell you. Or somebody else.
If it was me, I would look the holders of the A4 B8 that has the 2.0.
Does your display on the dash stays the same for parallel parking and bay parking? Or does the rectangular shapes change?
I think that our dash cannot display the bay parking correctly.
I built and connected the front harness, with the 4 front sensors and the 2 pla sensors. I am sure that everything is connected correctly because the error I was seeing has now disappeared, and if I try to disconnect the individual sensors the vcds gives me an error precisely for the sensor that is not connected. So now I have everything connected, but the system still doesn't work. When I engage reverse gear, the drawing of the car appears for a moment on the RNS display (a 193G, coded to display OPS) but then disappears. And the LED on the button flashes. With the VCDS I read an error in control unit 10, due to lack of communication with the ABS control unit (error 01316). The park assist control unit is 8P0919475J, the ABS control unit is 1K0907379AD, the steering box is 1K0909144M (and I think it's a GEN2...). I also read "ESP component MK60EC1" but I'm afraid it can't communicate with ECU 10. And I don't know if . Can anyone help me? I'm afraid I'll have to change the steering box...
Thank you for the advice.
I would be very grateful if @Troubs12 could tell me what brackets he used.
My 8P is MY2012 and the dash display does not change. But that doesn't bother me. The only thing that annoys me is that I can't activate the OPS.
When I was reading the whole thread I noticed that you touched on whether the dash on the 8p is the same as the passat. Yes, I can claim that the dashboard of the facelift 8P is almost the same as the Passat B7. I have disassembled my dashboard to flash the eeprom memory. I have also disassembled a Passat b7 dashboard and I know they use the same display. So it might be possible to make a custom firmware that renders parking correctly.

I have the same error. Unfortunately, also this system is “all things or nothing”, and so it works for a few seconds and stop. I tryed with 475J ecu (pla 1.0) and 475P (pla 1.5), always the same error. Now I have a 475D ecu and all thing works. Probably the problem is due to no communication from the abs ecu (my ecu is 1K0 907 379 AD). Did you try to see the last 2 bytes of abs ecu? I don’t remember, but propably there is a bit to activate.
I used 0,5mm for all looms and didn’t have any issues.Hi, i have a question. I have made the wiring looms myself and was wodnering if i had used 0.5 mm2 wires for everything or if i mix and matched between 0.35mm2 and 0.5mm2. Would that affect anything? I know on the wiring diagram it shows specific size wires to use but i didnt realise until later after i have made the looms. Would i still be ok to use these looms i made?
ok thats good. I used 0.5mm for my main looms but my parking sensor looms i bought some from ebay which were 0.35mm and i added the pla wires myself using 0.5mm wires and then i spliced into the 0.35mm wires. was wondering if it would affect the signal or anything?I used 0,5mm for all looms and didn’t have any issues.
I am not electrician, but I suppose that it might be a problem if you used smaller diameter and probably for the power wires.

Ok thats a relief thank youNah 0.35 will be fine it’s 0.50 for power and 0.35 for everything else but to be fair using 0.50 won’t hurt it

I did check my wiring with the multimeter and im sure ive got them the right way round. I will check again. Just to confirm the CAN gateway is behind the glovebox where there is a module? I spliced my wires in to the can wires. Should i try swapping the wires on the can and see if that helps?Do you have the CAN high and low the right way around?
283 modules use convenience CAN and 475 use powertrain CAN
Gateway 6 and 16 is powertrain. 6 is low, 16 is high.
6 goes to pin 15 on the 16 pin PDC connector. 16 goes to pin 6
Edit: just seen you have a 475 so check the above
Also regarding your coding question. 475 is module 10 park/steer assist. 283 is 76 park assist. Make sure you only have module 10 enabled in the installation list or they might conflict and cause issues
