The fact they just fall back on the Sale of Goods Act just shows that they are a bunch of charlatans and just want to shift metal while not giving one single **** about the customer experience. The whole glass and aluminium operation is a charade to lull you in.
Mind you, they have seriously ****** up in my case - don't try to rely of the Sale of Goods Act lads if you already fall foul of it would be my advice.
These button muppets ruin what is otherwise a great car.
My expectations - brake failure and exhaust issue - get the car in, strip it down pronto to find the issue, fix it and get the car back. Sort the exhaust at the same time if the parts come in. Get the part back to Audi Gmbh to issue an advisory if required.
The reality - get the car - do nothing. Take the car for a test drive - can't replicate the issue. Do nothing. Customer attends and drives the car with tech x 2. No fault yet - tech identifies the servo as the likely culprit. Do nothing. Agree to replace the servo within a timescale. Do nothing. After the agreed fix date (and after the Customer tells them they will reject the car if not sorted) start works. Dent the car. Replace the servo. Replace the exhaust with an identical part that is defective. Hand the car back with a thumbs up.
Then fall back on the Act to defend.
