Uprated water pump ? Or standard Oem

S3 2010 sportback is due a belt and water pump change soo.. 599 from main dealers. 370 from local specialist

Is there an uprated pump and belt i should be looking at or just standard stuff

I have never beard of an uprated cambelt. I have always stuck to oem VAG parts for the last 19 years with no problems.
Are you able to tell me who the local specialist is?

H Peter.. i saw a few different makes if cambelt so thought one might be better than another on euro car parts web site.. ill have a look again see whatvthe options were and let you know..

My local specialist is lion garage in leicester although after my last dealings with Leicester audi im tempted to stick with them even though it costs more.. and free mots too.. ( customer service was spot on )
Where do you take yours ? Audi solihul has always done mine since it was new.

I would certainly stick with OEM for peace of mind rather than a cheaper option on ECP.
Originally looked after by Stratford where I still know the staff very well. Much more of a personal service than corporate Birmingham Audi. Bham damaged all 4 wheels on my wife's TT earlier this year and so they had to pay for a refurb.
Back to Plume tyres for the future. I was there with my Golf 1.8T today having an MOT. Very good service as I used to teach the chap who organises the workshop
